Loyola Film Circle is the premier film organization of Ateneo de Manila University. Founded in 1997, the organization envisions to establish and strengthen a film culture that upholds the art and aesthetics of cinema and promote film as a medium for social discourse and involvement.

Be part of the Loyola Film Circle legacy. #PassionThroughFilm

The organization spearheads screenings, film forums, workshops, original productions, and other initiatives to serve as avenues for their three core competencies, namely:
💘
FILM APPRECIATION To provide opportunities for members to develop a deep level of appreciation and recognition of local and international films.
🎥
FILM PRODUCTION To train members' skills in film production and apply their honed skills in creating quality films.
💭
FILM CRITIQUE To create an avenue for members to develop more in-depth analysis and understanding of film literacy.

We intend to produce members aimed at contributing to the local film community, aiding in the formation of the nation, our culture, and identity.

"I grew a deeper appreciation for film thanks to my LFC journey. I watched so many different kinds of films (especially local ones!) with new friends who I could talk about these with all day. The workshops also showed me how much hard work and talent is put into producing these films. I’m always grateful for what I learned— even when I’m just binging on Netflix I remember some of the insights from LFC! My four year experience in this org made me forever passionate about film."

"LFC not only provided the space for me to fall more in love with film, it also gave me the people and experiences to supplement it. LFC fostered an environment that exposed me to all of the facets of the industry. I will forever cherish the people and the experiences the org has generously provided my with."

"I entered The Loyola Film Circle with nothing more than just a list of movies I was ready to geek out about but I left with a greater understanding and passion for film. LFC helped me realize that there are so many ways we can engage in film. Through the many fun projects, workshops, productions, and even just random org room discussions, I’ve come to realize that film is an ever-growing art that we all can be a part of. Here, It's your passions and things that set you apart that will help you create and admire film in a unique and wonderful way. You will learn so much from every experience, every mistake, and every person you meet. Whether you’re a videographer, a designer, a writer, an actor or just a plain ol’ movie geek (we all are!), there is something here for you!"
